Wonderful Woodland 

We were lucky enough to have had two terms worth of Woodland this year. We thoroughly enjoyed all the wonderful activities planned for us as well as finding time for climbing trees, making muddy sweet treats and drinks, and of course creating dens.

 

Christmas Enterprise

The children planned, made and manned their stalls at our Christmas Enterprise. The children handled customers and cash with confidence to make our event a roaring success! 

Number Day

This year to raise money for the NSPCC Number Day, we dressed up as Rockstars, and came up with rock songs for times tables. Ours was inspired by Taylor Swift (see the link below).

World Book Day

This years theme for world book day was heroes and villans. We had a fun time going on a treasure hunt outside and reading with our partner class in Year 5. 

   

Trolls Topic 

One of our topics in reading and writing this year has been The Stone Trolls, based on the Icelandic folk tail explaining the sea stacks on the coast. The children produced wonderful stories about their own trolls and even made them out of clay. 

 

The Animal Man

We had an exciting time when The Animal Man came to talk to us about all his tropical animals! The children showed our school values by demonstrating courage and confidence when holding a variety of creature. We are so proud of all the children that overcame their fears.
