Nunnery Wood Primary School

School Council

At Nunnery Wood Primary School, we have an active School Council made up representatives from each class from Year 2 to Year 6. Early Years and Year 1 classes have a Year 6 pupil who represents them. The full council meets every fortnight to discuss issues that have been raised in Class Councils. The School Council gives the pupils an opportunity to talk about how the school can be improved.

School Council 2018-19

The new School Council members have been very busy this term.

We really enjoyed welcoming Pudsey into school on November 6th to collect all the money raised on our ‘Odd Socks and Crazy Hats’ day. The buckets of coins and notes were very heavy indeed! Pudsey took away the money and promised to let us know how much we raised for this brilliant cause.  On November 17th, some of us visited the BBC Hereford and Worcester studio to hand over the rest of our money. We enjoyed having a tour of the studio and being part of a live broadcast. Thanks to all for your generous donations.

February 2019

The new playground signs have now  been installed. Come and have a look at our colourful Playground Charter, our ‘Quiet Area’ signs and our ‘Buddy Bench’ signs. Thanks to FNWPS for providing the funding for these wonderful additions to our playground.

March 2019

The School Council members did a super assembly today to introduce our brand new lunchtime tickets. The councillors explained what the tickets could be received for and where they will be collected. The class totals will be collated every half term and the prize for the winning class will be ten minutes of extra playtime!
