PE

PE is every and Wednesday (indoor) and Friday (outdoor). Please ensure your child has the full PE Kit with them in school, and that it is clearly labelled.

Woodland

This academic year, we are incredibly lucky to have woodland lessons every other week. Please ensure that your child brings in suitable woodland clothing and footwear. Woodland dates will be emailed, and are available on classroom doors. Autumn term Woodland will be on every other Friday.

Expectations for home learning:

*Reading: your child is expected to read at least 5 times a week and find and define 3 words. They should record this in their reading diary. This must be brought in on a Friday morning, signed by a parent.

*Home learning: This will be either Maths or English. It will be given out on a Wednesday and should be returned on a Tuesday.

*TTRS: your child should go on Times Tables Rock Stars as often as they can. If your child is not secure with their times tables they will have been set a times table to learn and will be tested on this at school.

Autumn Term:

This term our theme, ‘Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot!, is designed to explore the pressures of climate change on different areas of the world. Through this sequence of lessons we will be considering how climate change has affected peoples’ lives, how countries are acting to slow climate change and what forms of renewable energy are available. To support this theme across the curriculum, we will be looking at Torres Garcia’s style of art, creating Samba music and learning a Samba dance.

Parents are invited it to buy cake, a coffee and vote which is their favourite cake. Votes are castled and winners are announced for 'most technical', 'showstopper' 'children's choice' and 'parents choice'.
